Boron nitride coating ZPB-300

AVNG ZPB-300 is an inorganic boron nitride based coating which provides an outstanding protection, release (non-stick) and lubrication performance while high-temperature processes

The coating is suitable for brushing and spraying. For the best results and to avoid cracks the coating can be diluted with water till proper consistency.

The coating is non-wetted and inert to most of molten metals, slags and drosses (aluminum, magnesium, zinc, etc.); can be applied at high temperatures – up 900 °C in air, 1400 °C in reducing atmosphere; perfectly suited for aluminum, magnesium and zinc casting process - protective covering of all liquid metal transfer system components: launders, runners, filter bowls, boxes, caster tips, drosspress heads, etc.

Main advantages

  • excellent release and lubrication properties
  • reduce corrosion and wear of graphite and non-oxide refractory parts and tools increasing lifetime
  • inorganic binder improves adhesion
  • coating durability shortens downtimes
  • safety and cleanliness of operation area: no open flames and gases in comparison with more traditional release agents such as oils, greases, etc.
  • economical consumption
  • easy to process
Application
  • AVNG ZPB-300 coatings can be applied by brushing, rolling, or spraying.
  • smooth and dense materials are best coated by spraying. Porous surfaces such as refractories are best coated by brushing or spraying
  • coating should be stirred properly before use
  • for the best results and to avoid cracks the coating can be diluted with demineralized water till proper consistency in the following(coating:water) ratio: 1:1 – 1:5.
  • coating should be applied on clean, dust and oil free surfaces
  • to prevent cracks formation, it is to apply in thin and covering layers to ensure good surface adhesion
  • spraying/brushing on warm surfaces (below 100 °C) improves the result and shortens drying time
  • re-coat if required to achieve proper coverage
  • coating has to be fully dried prior use
  • brushes and tools can be cleaned with water
